The most common form of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, which is genetic and affects millions of men and women alike. According to statistics, hair loss that occurs at the age of 50 affects about half of men and a quarter of women worldwide.
People have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on their head. The number of strands that are usually lost in a day varies on average between 50 and 100. To maintain a normal volume, hair must be replaced at the same rate as it is lost. The first signs of thinning hair are observed when more hairs remain on the brush after combing or in the bath after shampooing. This observation can be frightening and therefore hair loss can cause psychological discomfort and stress. Quantum biofeedback helps treat stress-induced hair loss.
Causes.
Stress is a common stimulus and a known causative agent of hair growth disorders and hair loss. The stress hormone, cortisol, affects the hair growth cycle. The relationship between psycho-emotional stress and hair loss according to Harvard research is psychophysiological. These are skin problems that have a normal basis, but can be exacerbated by stress and other emotional factors that cause hair loss.
Healthy hair is partly the result of insufficient oxygen supply to the hair. The hair follicles thrive on the nutrients and oxygen provided by the capillaries. Lack of oxygen affects all cells, including hair cells, and can cause premature thinning and hair loss.
There are many other causes of hair loss such as trauma, severe stress, hormonal imbalances, heredity, autoimmune diseases, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, chronic inflammation, chemotherapy, hair chemicals, drug side effects. Any medication that affects the balance of hormones in the body, such as birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy, steroids or acne medications, can cause hair loss. Also some treatments used to treat fungal infections can cause massive hair loss. Other important factors are vitamin and amino acid deficiencies, extreme diets and heavy metal toxicity.
Another interesting explanation for hair loss is the aging of the hair follicle. Normally, hair follicle renewal is achieved with the stem cells associated with each follicle. The aging of the hair follicle appears to be caused by an ongoing response of the body to cellular stress.
Proposal for treatment.
Quantum Biofeedback focuses on identifying and addressing the cause, not just the symptom. In the first session, the specific cause of hair loss can be evaluated and then the appropriate intervention can be made. A 35-page evaluation report of the body and its stresses is given, which includes information on the causes that can cause hair loss or other symptoms.
Indicatively, it provides programs: for the reduction of 'balding stress', (the stress caused by thinning hair), for anti-aging at the cellular level, for the balance of hormones, for the stimulation of stem cells in the hair follicles, for DNA detection and retraining, for oxygenation by increasing the flow of oxygen to each cell and throughout the body.
The programs that can be chosen vary, as each is unique, with a different biochemical identity and it is important to assess the cause of the symptom first and then focus the sessions on those factors that cause hair loss.
Quantum Biofeedback is:
- the least toxic and invasive intervention,
- the most holistic and alternative treatment option,
- a way to get more information and choices about the best possible care decisions for the sick,
- way to improve health and quality of life in a timely manner, with psychological and educational interventions.
